Dr. Andre Camp is a career detective with the Detroit Police Department. Camp earned a B.S. in communication from Eastern Michigan University; an M.S. in public administration at Central Michigan University; and a Doctorate in business administration and management from University of Phoenix. His dissertation explored the relationship between self-efficacy and education level for patrol officers.
Camp worked for 10 years as a production assistant for CBS Television Distribution concurrently with his post at DPD. He also is an adjunct professor for South University, where he teaches criminal justice courses.
Camp values working with students and faculty at Cleary University.
“The enjoyment for me is learning from everyone and sharing different perspectives on ideologies and concepts,” he says.
Business education assists in financial decisions and ethical morality, he says.
“I believe business education can give an individual a perspective of how they want their business to function, or what type of company they are willing to work for.”
