Message from Cleary President, Alan Drimmer: On behalf of the entire faculty, staff, and students of Cleary University, I would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of fallen officer, Loren Courts.
Our partnership with the Detroit Police Department is much more than an academic one. In many ways, we have become a family, and when we lose a member of our family, we all will grieve together.
This police officer sacrificed his life to protect the lives of others. We owe him, and all of the brave men and women of the Detroit Police Department, our tremendous gratitude for their loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the safety of others.
It is a very sad day when we have to say goodbye to a dedicated police officer, husband, father, son, and brother. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Courts family and the entire Detroit Police Department. #OneDetroit
