Lynne Golodner is a marketing entrepreneur, accomplished author, and revered writing coach as well as the host of the Make Meaning Podcast. She has taught writing, public relations, and marketing classes at universities for more than 20 years and joined Cleary University in 2021 to teach social media marketing and related topics. She has also taught at the University of Detroit Mercy since 2010.
After 15 years as a print journalist, Lynne founded Your People LLC, a marketing and public relations company that since 2007 has provided strategic marketing and messaging support to schools, universities, businesses and entrepreneurs around the world. In her work, Lynne focuses on how purpose and story revolutionize the way organizations build awareness and grow revenues.
Lynne is a 2020-2021 member of the Forbes Agency Council and repeatedly receives awards for her innovative marketing leadership. In 2019, she was recognized by MichBusiness as a Marketing & PR Prophet, and in 2018 Crain’s Detroit Business named Lynne a Notable Woman in Marketing. She has also won MarCom Awards for her innovative marketing and public relations campaigns since 2008.
In 2018, Lynne launched the Make Meaning Podcast, where she interviews educators, entrepreneurs and writers from around the world, including New Zealand Associate Minister of Education Jan Tinetti and Romanian artist and entrepreneur Ramona Pintea. Lynne writes about marketing with meaning at Forbes.com and facilitates her signature Finding Your Voice at Midlife writing class through WritingWorkshops.com.
In 2021, Lynne launched The Writers Community, an opportunity for regular writing support in an encouraging online forum. At the university level, Lynne has taught public relations, business communications, composition, literature and poetry, professional writing, creative writing, journalism, business writing and academic writing, among others. Through Your People, Lynne develops and facilitates marketing courses to empower schools to learn marketing skills to grow their reach.
