Tamika Mayes has built more than 15 years of accounting and tax expertise in audit, federal income tax, state and local taxation. She leads process improvement projects in GM Finance, Legal Staff and Maven, GM’s mobility brand. Mayes has served several organizations and tax committees including Jefferson East Inc; Inforum Michigan; Women of Tomorrow Mentoring and Scholarship Program; State and Local Tax Committee of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan; Michigan Women’s Tax Association; the Villages Community Development Corporation; KIVA Detroit; Hatch Detroit; Big Brothers Big Sisters; and Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (NY).
Mayes graduated from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was Note and Comment Development Editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. She earned a B.A. in accounting from Clark Atlanta University.
